My Story

I’m a Swedish photographer living in London.  Flowers have been a great passion and an endless source of inspiration in my photography and styling. I want to combine the beauty of flowers with my Scandinavian aesthetics and the vibrancy of living in a big city.

My career has been varied and I have a very broad background with over 30 years of experience starting with art school studying fine art and textiles. This was followed later by several years of studying photography and floristry. Over this period, I also trained in horticulture and garden design and later taught plant knowledge and nomenclature for many years at The English Gardening School, which is based at the unique Chelsea Physic Garden in London.

My photography studio is at my Arts & Crafts home in North London. I have an extensive and eclectic collection of props ranging from contemporary Scandinavian to antique, vintage and retro items, including garden antiques.

I also have an office on the top floor that looks out over my garden. It’s where I do my photo editing and write my blog. It’s also where I keep my vast collection of inspirational books and magazines on different subject such as flowers and plants, horticulture and garden design, interior design and photography.

My blog ...Of Spring and Summer... was founded in 2009 and the name was inspired by a line in a poem by the English poet Dylan Thomas from 1944 called Poem in October.

Spring and summer are my favourite seasons and they are also the two seasons that represent the time of year when many flowers are plentiful and at their best as well as most beautiful.

...Of Spring and Summer... is where I share my knowledge both as a florist, stylist and flower expert, and above all I seek to inspire with my photography of timeless and gorgeous flowers.
